followed by a moment of mindfulness through

picture book meditation?

and nourishes your heart as well.

A Mindfulness Journey
with an EumSik DiMiBang Culinary Experience

Our 1-night, 2-day journey begins like this.

1. A Walk Around Yeongdeok Ganggu Port,

Famous for Its Abundant Snow Crabs

Before heading to Yeongyang,
we stop by Ganggu Port in Yeongdeok,

a village famous for its snow crabs.

We enjoy lunch and take a short rest,
then savor the local food scene

and stroll around the neighborhood.
From GangGu Port, it takes

about one hour to reach DuDul Village in YeongYang,
where we enter a quiet traditional hanok experience village.

Loved by many for its narrow,

harbor-like shape and charming scenery,
GangGu Port is best explored at a slow pace.
Starting from the Haepalang Park Trail parking area,
we walk past Dongjin Fish Market
and gradually make our way toward the port.

Along the way,

we encounter Yeongdeok Snow Crab Street,
filled with the scent of the sea
and the lively presence of people from the fish market.

Eumsik Dimibang Traditional Dining Experience

Enjoy a rare dining experience inspired

by Eumsik Dimibang,
the oldest known Korean cookbook written in Hangul.

This place is connected to Jang Gye-hyang,
a noblewoman and scholar—and the ancestor of renowned Korean writer Lee Mun-yeol.
She recorded refined noble-class recipes in Hangul,
which have been passed down

through generations as Eumsik Dimibang.

The last head lady of the family still resides here
and personally prepares meals for visiting guests.

The cuisine is not heavily seasoned or artificial,
but instead highlights the natural

flavors of the original ingredients,
resulting in dishes that are clean,

delicate, and deeply satisfying.

This is a place where you can taste rare traditional dishes
that are seldom encountered elsewhere.
As it does not accept individual visitors,
this experience is difficult to

access without a special arrangement.

Healing Trek in a Remote Village

 – Jukpari Birch Forest

A quiet wellness walk through untouched nature.
This hidden village preserves pristine wilderness

and Korea’s largest birch forest,

offering a deeply calming experience.

Walking alongside a gentle stream,

the trail invites mindful steps

and peaceful breathing as scenic views

unfold all the way to the summit.

At the top, choose from various relaxing routes

—including forest paths and easy walking roads—

perfect for slowing down, reconnecting,

 and simply being present.

Visit to Jusil Village, the Village of Poets

Jusil Village in Yeongyang, Gyeongbuk,
is the birthplace of Ji Hun Cho,

a poet who resisted Japanese colonial rule,
alongside renowned Cheongnok School

poets Mokwol Park and Dujin Park.

As you enter the village,

where traditional houses line the paths along the rice fields,
you will first encounter the birthplace of poet Ji Hun Cho.

Bathed in warm sunlight,
take a slow walk through the Poetry Park

filled with his verses,

and visit Wollok Seodang and Okcheon Head House.

Each poem carved into the stones

 gently settles into the heart,
inviting quiet reflection and calm.
